Finland seeks EU funding for subsea cable repair capacity - Ministry of Transport and Communications
A Finnish-led project has applied for EUR 9.55 million in European Commission funding to reinforce subsea cable repair capacity. The project is coordinated by the Finnish National Emergency Supply Agency and involves partners from Finland, Sweden and Estonia. On 25 June 2026, the Government adopted a national programme on distribution infrastructure for alternative transport fuels. The programme, originally published in 2024, has been updated in line with recommendations from the European Commission. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 20 November 2024. The CRA sets minimum cyber security requirements for products and software that can be connected to the internet or to other devices.
