  7. On 2 July 2026, the Government submitted to Parliament its proposal for amending the Private Roads Act. The amendments would simplify the administration and operations of private road maintenance associations, strengthen road shareholders' protection under the law and promote road safety on private roads. More broadly, their aim is to clarify, specify and harmonise certain provisions of the Private Roads Act.

  10. A working group appointed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications has started its work to promote 6G communications technologies. The aim is to prepare a national 6G roadmap and to encourage cooperation and exchange of information in the field of future-generation wireless network technologies. Members of the working group represent key central government bodies as well as stakeholders in the research and business sector.

  11. On 25 June 2026, the Government submitted a proposal to amend taxi legislation for approval. The aim is to increase trust in the taxi services sector. The amendments are due to come into force in stages, from 1 September 2026 and from 1 January 2027.

  17. 20.11.2023 | Världsradiokonferensen WRC-23 börjar i Dubai den 20 november 2023. I konferensen fattar man beslut om framtida användning av radiofrekvenser. Syftet är att effektivera användningen av radiofrekvenser och möjliggöra nya teknologier och nya tjänster. I konferensen deltar Finland i beslutsfattandet och bidrar globalt till framtidens kommunikationstjänster för att säkerställa konkurrenskraften och internationell tillgänglighet.
