The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the draft government proposal to amend the Private Roads Act. 13.11.2025 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic approve on 14 November 2025 the act on digital information services for the transport system and amendments to the related acts. The acts will enter into force on 1 January 2026.

22.9.2025 | The Government submitted to Parliament a legislative proposal concerning digital information services for the transport system on 22 September 2025. The aim is to establish a more uniform basis for a coordinated and interoperable deployment of intelligent transport systems and for using transport-related data.

11.8.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications proposes that EUR 3.78 billion be allocated to its administrative branch for 2026. This is about EUR 60 million less than in the 2025 Budget.

12.6.2025 | The Government proposed stricter legislation concerning micromobility on 12 June 2025. The amendments to the Road Traffic Act and the Vehicles Act would enter into force on 17 June 2025 and the amendments to the Act on Transport Services and the Act on the Transfer of Vehicles on 1 August 2025. The aim of the proposal is to improve the safety of electric scooters and other micromobility vehicles.

The update aims to create a more uniform basis for deploying intelligent transport systems and using transport data. Comments may be submitted until 9 May 2025.
