22.8.2023 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications invites comments on the government proposal for amending the Act on Electronic Communication Services. The proposal would implement the amendments to the Radio Equipment Directive harmonising the charging of mobile phones and tablets, for example. The deadline for submitting comments is 29 September 2023.

27.3.2024 | A Government Decree on the Conformity of Radio Equipment completes the national implementation of the amendments to the Radio Equipment Directive. By harmonising charging requirements, the amendments will make it easier to charge electronic devices, such as mobile phones and tablets.

21.12.2023 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic approve the amendments to the Act on Electronic Communication Services. The proposal will implement the amendments to the Radio Equipment Directive in Finland that will harmonise the charging of e.g. mobile phones and tablets.

26.10.2023 | The Government issued a proposal to Parliament for amending the Act on Electronic Communication Services. The proposal would implement at national level the amendments to the Radio Equipment Directive that aim to harmonise the charging of mobile phones and tablets, for example.

12.9.2023 | EU funding for expanding the recharging network for electric cars has been granted to Tesla’s subsidiary in Finland, Roadster Finland Oy.  Funding was granted within the Transport Programme of the Connecting Europe Facility, CEF. 

The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has completed the Port State Control (PSC) inspection of the Eagle S and detained the ship.

7.6.2022 | Liikenne- ja viestintäministeriö on huhtikuussa 2022 asettanut kolmannelle kaudelle Saimaan kanavan neuvottelukunnan. Neuvottelukunta kokoontui ensimmäiseen kokoukseensa 7. kesäkuuta keskustelemaan Saimaan kanavaa ja Saimaan vesiliikennettä koskevista ajankohtaisista asioista.

It would be simultaneous with the registration of the vessel's right of ownership in another state. Parallel registration would be possible when a foreign vessel is chartered to Finland under the so-called bareboat chartering agreement (without crew).

28.1.2021 | The Government proposes that the provisions on the Average Adjuster be reformed and included in the Maritime Act. The aim of the proposal is to clarify the initiation process of matters that are to be referred to the Average Adjuster as well as the involved indemnity schemes.

The draft has been modified based on initial comments, and the requirements for ports and the authorities have been relaxed. The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the draft by 12 February.
