Ett projekt som samordnas av Cinia Ab beviljades 3,65 miljoner euro för förberedelse av stomnät för telekommunikation i Nordeuropa och den arktiska regionen. I konsortiet ingår också danska företaget NORDUnet. Dessutom beviljades Telia finansiering för ett projekt som förbättrar kontinuiteten i gränsöverskridande webbtjänster.

27.6.2025 | On 27 June 2025, the President of the Republic approved temporary amendments to the Act on Transport Services, which will enter into force on 1 July 2025. The purpose is to bring data on publicly supported passenger transport services in Northern Finland into one place.

12.6.2025 | The Government proposed stricter legislation concerning micromobility on 12 June 2025. The amendments to the Road Traffic Act and the Vehicles Act would enter into force on 17 June 2025 and the amendments to the Act on Transport Services and the Act on the Transfer of Vehicles on 1 August 2025. The aim of the proposal is to improve the safety of electric scooters and other micromobility vehicles.
