  1. Finnish operators apply for a total of EUR 81.04 million in funding from the European Commission’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for five communications projects. On 8 February 2024, the Ministerial Finance Committee endorsed the applications.

  2. The European Commission has selected communications projects to receive funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).   3. The Government proposed on 13 May 2026 that the amendments to the Driving Licence Act be adopted. For the most part, the Act will enter into force on 29 May 2026. The aim of the amendments is to improve traffic safety for young people in particular.

  8. 7.11.2024 | On 7 November 2024, the Government granted radio programme licences for a new nationwide frequency block 26, and for 20 individual frequencies in a supplementary application round. Licences were issued to different parts of Finland, including to local radio broadcasting operators.
