In line with the Programme of Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's Government, Finland's Cyber Security Strategy has been revised to respond to the changed security environment. In line with the Programme of Prime Minister Orpo's Government, Finland's Cyber Security Strategy has been revised to respond to the changed security environment. The objectives of the revised strategy extend to 2035. A strategy implementation plan has been drawn to describe the development measures to achieve the objectives. The National Cyber Security Office, based at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the Finnish Terminology Centre are requesting comments on a draft of an updated Cybersecurity Glossary. The deadline for submitting comments is 20 March 2026. The Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) convenes in London from 18 to 27 June 2025. Finland has been awarded EUR 462,000 in EU funding to advance road safety under a European Commission call launched in late 2025. The proposed amendment to the Rail Transport Act is the third round of revisions since its entry into force on 1 January 2019.
