  1. 7.5.2026 | On 7 May 2026, the Government submitted for approval amendments to the Act on Transport Services, the Driving Licence Act, the Act on the Organisation of Driver Examinations and the Act on the Enforcement of a Fine. The amendments aim to improve the operating conditions for the transport sector. Most of the acts and the amended decree will enter into force on 15 May 2026.

  3. On 23 April 2026, the Government submitted amendments to the Act on Electronic Communication Services for approval. The amendments apply to equipment that interfere with radio communications, so-called jammers. The act is scheduled to enter into force on 1 July 2026.

  8. 13.11.2025 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic approve amendments to the Act on Transport Services on 14 November 2025. These legislative amendments give municipalities and joint municipal and other regional authorities the option to arrange passenger rail services in their respective areas. The amended act will also provide for the grounds to be taken into account when making changes to the distribution of regional competence concerning local rail transport.

The amendments to the Rail Transport Act concern the investment-based raise to the basic railway infrastructure charge.   18. 27.6.2024 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic approve the amendments to the Act on Electronic Communication Services and that the Act enter into force on 1 July 2024. The must-carry obligation for radio programmes would be removed from the Act, the provision on the revocation of radio licences would be amended and other technical amendments would be made. After a one-year transition period, the must-carry obligation for radio would end on 1 July 2025.
