2.5.2024 | Amendments to the EU Regulation on minimum breaks and rest periods were published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 2 May 2024. Specific rules were included in the Regulation to change the driving times and rest periods in the occasional passenger transport sector. In most cases, occasional passenger transport means chartered transport by bus or coach. 8.12.2017 | The Russian Ministry of Transport has decided to restrict bus and coach traffic on the Saimaa Canal maintenance road from 11 December 2017 to 31 March 2018. The restrictions apply to buses and coaches only, not to passenger cars or freight transport. For now, restrictions are set on traffic flows from Russia via the Nuijamaa border crossing station only.
