6.3.2025 | The Government submitted a legislative proposal relating to micromobility to Parliament on 6 March 2025. The aim of the proposal is to improve the safety of electric scooters and other micromobility vehicles.

The Act will place obligations on municipalities and the State to ensure a certain share of zero- and low-emission vehicles in public procurement processes. The Act will enter into force on 2 August 2021.

29.3.2012 | In the future, an owner of a vehicle no longer has to submit a separate notification of registration data when his or her motor liability insurance information changes. This makes it easier to compare insurance companies and their offers. The obligation to submit vehicle registration data is transferred to insurance companies. Insurance companies are obliged to submit the notification using the electronic service of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi).
