The Ministry of Transport and Communications has launched a legislative project to improve the operating conditions for the transport sector. The aim of the project is to further specify the EU regulation concerning road cabotage and make the regulations easier to comply with and supervise. The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) met in London from 27 April to 1 May 2026. In line with the Programme of Prime Minister Orpo's Government, Finland's Cyber Security Strategy has been revised to respond to the changed security environment. The objectives of the revised strategy extend to 2035. A strategy implementation plan has been drawn to describe the development measures to achieve the objectives.
