26.11.2020 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic adopt the act on the passenger car scrapping premium for 2020-2021 and the act amending the act on the passenger car scrapping premium and support for acquiring electric cars and converting passenger cars to run on gas or ethanol. The date of the entry into force is proposed to be 1 December 2020. The President of the Republic is expected to approve the bill on Friday, 27 November 2020.

On 29 June 2022, the EU Environment Council in Luxembourg reached general approaches on the key legislative proposals of the 55% emission reduction target by 2030, i.e. the Fit for 55 package, after long negotiations.

15.7.2021 | On 15 July, the President of the Republic approved the Act on Environmental and Energy Efficiency Requirements for Vehicle and Transport Service Procurements. The Act will place obligations on municipalities and the State to ensure a certain share of zero- and low-emission vehicles in public procurement processes. The Act will enter into force on 2 August 2021.
