The Ministry of Transport and Communications requested comments on a draft government proposal for an act on location information for underground network infrastructure. The consultation period ran from 29 January to 12 March 2026. On 21 April 2026, the Ministry published a summary of the 58 comments received.

The Government will launch structural reforms to boost employment and growth, which will have positive impacts on general government finances in the next few years. In addition, the Government decided on consolidation measures.

5.11.2020 | On 5 November 2020, the Government submitted a letter on the European Commission's proposal concerning the implementation of the Single European Sky (SES) to Parliament. In the proposed Regulation, four previous SES regulations have been merged into one regulation. In addition, the Commission proposes that the Regulation on establishing a European Union Aviation Safety Agency be amended by adding provisions on the Performance Review Body of the Single European Sky to it.

7.10.2020 | On 7 October 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Communications arranged a ministerial Meeting on Connected and Automated driving. The aim of the meeting was to speed up the European cooperation for promoting transport automation. The meeting conclusions state that transport automation should be based on a human-centred approach.

25.1.2022 | The national goal of halving greenhouse gas emissions from transport by 2030 is achievable. This requires that the subsidies and incentives outlined in the roadmap for fossil-free transport are implemented in full and that every aspect of the emissions reduction potential is realised as expected. Measures at the EU level are also required, as is a greater obligation to distribute renewable fuels.
