On 24 November 2022, the Government appointed Stefan Lee, Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) as Deputy Cyber Security Director. Lee has also a master's degree in Advanced Studies on Mediation in Peace Processes. He was appointed for a fixed term from 8 December 2022 to 31 December 2024.

Lee currently works as Counsellor at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He holds the position of a Team Leader responsible for cyber and technology diplomacy issues. Lee has also acted as First Secretary and Assistant at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Before that he worked as a Researcher at ETLA Economic Research and as Doctoral Researcher in Hanken School of Economics.

The Deputy Cyber Security Director works together with and, when necessary, also deputises for the National Cyber Security Director. He will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the national cyber security projects of the EU Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and take part in projects on central government cyber security. Together with the National Cyber Security Director, he will coordinate and reconcile the development, planning and preparedness matters related to the national cyber security as part of the changes in the operating environment.
