5.11.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the draft spectrum decree and the draft call for applications on network licences for terrestrial television. Statements on the draft spectrum decree can be submitted until 26 November 2025 and on the draft call for applications on network licences for terrestrial television until 10 December 2025.

9.12.2021 | The Finnish Government has issued an invitation to apply for licences for the purpose of providing telecommunications services within the 700 MHz frequency band in the region of Åland. The deadline for applications is 20 January 2022, at 12.00 noon.

7.12.2023 | On 7 December 2023, the Government decided to amend the 2G network licence terms. Telecommunications operators will now be expected to maintain 2G technology until the end of 2029. 8.6.2020 | On Monday 8 June, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency will open the auction of the frequencies of the 26 GHz spectrum. This is the second time Finland auctions frequencies for high-speed 5G mobile networks.
