The Ministry of Transport and Communications requested comments on a draft government proposal to amend the taxi regulation. Over 150 responses were submitted between 24 April and 6 June 2025. The Ministry published a summary of the comments on 11 September 2025.

To improve the situation, the Government is proposing amendments to the new Road Traffic Act, which will enter into force on 1 June 2020.

13.11.2025 | The Government proposes that the President of the Republic approve on 14 November 2025 the act on digital information services for the transport system and amendments to the related acts. The acts will enter into force on 1 January 2026.

3.4.2006 | By driving your kid to and from a school at four kilometers' distance you will, in one year, contribute to a consumption of non-renewable natural resources amounting to as much as 13,300 kg. The same trips by bicycle only consume 320 kg, whereas bus trips use 470 kg of non-renewable natural resources annually. This means that one school day trip corresponds to 74 kg of these resources by car, 2.5 kg by bus and almost 2 kg by bicycle.
