  3. Minister Ranne attending EU Transport Council: port and maritime industry strategies to be outlined - Ministry of Transport and Communications

  6. Finland seeks EU funding for subsea cable repair capacity - Ministry of Transport and Communications

    A Finnish-led project has applied for EUR 9.55 million in European Commission funding to reinforce subsea cable repair capacity. The project is coordinated by the Finnish National Emergency Supply Agency and involves partners from Finland, Sweden and Estonia.     On 28 May 2026, the Government proposed the approval of the national provisions supplementing the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The legislation will enter into force on 1 June 2026, with transitional periods aligned with those of the CRA during 2026–2027. The aim of the CRA is to improve the cybersecurity of products.
