28.8.2023 | A COVID-19 legislation ex post evaluation, prepared jointly by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, has been released. The report examines the temporary legislation put in place in 2020–2021 in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Transport and Communications in consequence of COVID 19. It also looks at the drafting of this legislation.

16.6.2004 | A new act will safeguard confidentiality and protection of privacy in electronic communications. It will clarify the rules of processing confidential identification and location data and provide new means to prevent spam and viruses. The new Act on Data Protection in Electronic Communications will promote users' trust as well as information security and development of electronic services.

The fast-acting measures to curb indebtedness that were decided on due to the difficult situation in central government finances will move forward.
