The responsibility for ownership matters related to Arctia Shipping Ltd and Meritaito Ltd will be transferred from the Ministry of Transport and Communications to the Prime Minister's Office. The amendment comes into force on 21 November 2011 which is also when the transfer takes effect.
According to State ownership policy, the direction of state majority-owned companies operating on market terms takes place at the Ownership Steering Department in the Prime Minister's Office.
