Minister Ranne to chair parliamentary working group to support update of Transport 12 Plan

On 19 October 2023, the Government appointed a parliamentary working group to support the process to update the National Transport System Plan (Transport 12).

The working group will be chaired by Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne. 

The other members of the working group are:

Member of Parliament Timo Heinonen and Member of Parliament Heikki Autto, National Coalition Party Parliamentary Group
Member of Parliament Sheikki Laakso and Member of Parliament Sara Seppänen, Finns Party Parliamentary Group
Member of Parliament Seppo Eskelinen and Member of Parliament Suna Kymäläinen, Social Democratic Parliamentary Group
Member of Parliament Pekka Aittakumpu, Centre Party Parliamentary Group 
Member of Parliament Atte Harjanne, Green Parliamentary Group
Member of Parliament Timo Furuholm, Left Alliance Parliamentary Group 
Member of Parliament Mikko Ollikainen, Swedish Parliamentary Group

Each member has a personal deputy.

The process to update the Transport 12 Plan was started at the very beginning of the Government term, as stated in the Programme of Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s Government. The responsibility for the preparation of the plan rests with the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The aim is to make the decision on the next Transport 12 Plan towards the end of 2024.

The term of the working group ends on 30 April 2025.
