Minister Ranne to attend the ITF Summit: “Finland is a frontrunner in the resilience of transport”

Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne will attend the Summit of the International Transport Forum (ITF) in Leipzig, Germany, on 21 and 22 May 2025. The theme of this year’s summit is transport resilience in times of crises.

“Relative to its size, Finland has a wealth of expertise and the will to contribute to global solutions. Finland is a frontrunner in the resilience and digitalisation of transport”, says Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne.

Minister Ranne will participate in round-table discussions on the crisis resilience of maritime transport and on the support for Ukraine and she will join a panel discussion during the opening session of the Summit. She will also attend a meeting of transport ministers, set to adopt policy recommendations on artificial intelligence and road safety.

Minister Rinne will also have several bilateral meetings, including with Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach from Ukraine, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Sangwoo Park from South Korea and  Vice Minister Yoshimichi Terada from Japan. The topics include the digitalisation of transport and respective collaboration.
