Minister of Transport Anu Vehviläinen signed Finavia's ownership strategy on 10 March 2011. The company's ownership strategy supplements the principles of the airport network act with the Ministry of Transport's ownership steering policies.
The ownership strategy will strengthen Finavia's position as a state-owned company charged with the responsibility for special assignments. The company plays a central role as the administrator and developer of Finland's airport and air traffic control system.
The strategy comprehends the Ministry of Transport and Communications key policies on corporate service expectations, business operations and other aspects of implementing ownership policy.
