8.4.2021 | The legislative amendments included in a series of corrections introduced to the taxi regulation will enter into force mainly on 1 May 2021. The amendments on pricing and equipment, including taximeters, will come into force on 1 September 2021. The variation in the dates of the entry into force allows the taxi operators to make the necessary changes required in the amendments.

4.5.2016 | Finland's Act on Electronic Identification and Electronic Signatures (Electronic Identification Act) will be amended to correspond with EU legislation and promote e-commerce.

11.7.2018 | The Finnish Government issued on 11 July an invitation to apply for electronic communications licences for the purpose of providing telecommunications services within the 3.5 GHz spectrum (3410-3800 MHz). The spectrum can be used for wireless broadband nationwide in mainland Finland from the beginning of 2019, and it is well suited for the construction of the first 5G networks in Finland.
