Finland seeks EU funding for subsea cable repair capacity - Ministry of Transport and Communications
A Finnish-led project has applied for EUR 9.55 million in European Commission funding to reinforce subsea cable repair capacity. The project is coordinated by the Finnish National Emergency Supply Agency and involves partners from Finland, Sweden and Estonia. On 2 July 2026, the Government submitted to Parliament its proposal for amending the Private Roads Act. The amendments would simplify the administration and operations of private road maintenance associations, strengthen road shareholders' protection under the law and promote road safety on private roads.
