5.2.2019 | Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner met Francis Gurry, Director General of the UN World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on 5 February 2019 in Helsinki. At the meeting they discussed intellectual property rights in data economy, for example.  Gurry is visiting Finland on the invitation of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.

In the future, the Vehicles Act will only lay down provisions on the approval of new vehicles and equipment belonging to national vehicle categories and on their market surveillance. These categories and equipment include motorised work machinery, off-road vehicles, studs and studded tyres.
