The Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Finance have completed a joint outlook review of the current state of transport taxation and financing, and options for reform. Finnish operators apply for a total of EUR 81.04 million in funding from the European Commission’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for five communications projects. On 8 February 2024, the Ministerial Finance Committee endorsed the applications.

The European Commission has selected communications projects to receive funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). In the third round of calls for proposals under the CEF Digital programme, two projects coordinated by Finnish operators received a total of around EUR 21.07 million in funding.   This press release corrects information published (in Finnish) in a press release on 29 October 2024.
