Permanent Secretary Minna Kivimäki to exert influence on EU decision-making during visit to Paris

Permanent Secretary Minna Kivimäki will visit Paris on 25–26 September 2023 to exert influence on EU decision-making. Kivimäki will meet representatives of OECD and the International Transport Forum as well as the ministries responsible for transport and communications matters, for example.

She will also meet her counterparts at the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion and the Ministry of Digital Transition and Telecommunications. Items on the agenda at the Ministries include topical EU legislative projects and the priority themes and projects in the transport and communications sector during the EU parliamentary term 2024–2029.
 
The meeting with Jerry Sheehan, Director for Science, Technology, and Innovation at OECD will focus on matters related to the development of the data economy and digital technologies. Kivimäki and Young Tae Kim, Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum, will discuss the digitalisation of the transport system and services.
 
Kivimäki will also meet Vincent Strubel, Chief of the National Cybersecurity Agency of France and visit the Paris Cyber Campus.
