Minister Berner and Permanent Secretary Pursiainen express their condolences following the death of Russian State Secretary Sergey Aristov

Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner and Permanent Secretary Harri Pursiainen have expressed their condolences following the death of State Secretary Sergey Alekseevich Aristov, Russia's Deputy Minister of Transport and Authorised Delegate for the Saimaa Canal.

State Secretary Aristov passed away on 30 December 2018.

He was known as a systematic developer of transport cooperation between Finland and Russia, along with the rest of northern Europe.

Minister Berner and Permanent Secretary Pursiainen sent their condolences to State Secretary Aristov's family and to the employees of the Russian Ministry of Transport.
