Licence applications invited for three multiplexes in antenna television network

The Finnish Government announced on 12 September 2016 that it invites applications for three communications network licences for providing network services in digital terrestrial mass communications network. The licences are for multiplexes B, C and D in the UHF band. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 12 October 2016 at 12.00 a.m.

The coverage of the network licences is the whole of Finland, excluding the Region of Åland. They will be issued for a period from 17 May 2017 to 10 January 2027.

The aim of the licences is to ensure that adequate capacity will be available for antenna television network channels in the next licence period.
