Krista Kiuru, Minister of Housing and Communications, to visit India from 15 to 19 January.
Her visit will include meetings with Kamal Nath, India’s Minister of Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, and Kapil Sibal, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
The main theme of the visit is intelligent cities, where information technology is used to improve housing, urban planning, energy efficiency and comfort. The aim is to develop co-operation between Finland and India.
During her visit, Minister Kiuru will view projects on ecological building and intelligent cities, particularly in the Karnataka area. Her itinerary also includes visits to Wipro Campus and the Nokia Siemens Networks’ research and development centre.
