10 years of TEDIM cooperation: EU enlargement and the role of the Baltic Sea in transport are topics of the Jubilee Seminar

EU enlargement and the increasing cooperation between the Russian Federation and EU Member States place emphasis on the Baltic Sea as a link between logistic networks. Well-functioning and compatible transport networks will become significant factors in the global competition too.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of cooperation in the field of transport logistics development. In 1994, a development forum for logistics in the Baltic Sea region, TEDIM, was established. The founding members were Germany, the Russian Federation and Finland.

The ten years of the forum will be celebrated with an international seminar at Marina Congress Center in Helsinki, Finland, on Thursday 26 February 2004. The seminar will cover such topics as the effects of EU enlargement, and new challenges of logistics on international markets.
