23.6.2022 | In its meeting, the Ministerial Working Group on Developing the Digital Transformation, the Data Economy and Public Administration approved the main elements of the legislative proposals concerning a digital identification application and the redesign of the personal identity code. The working group also approved continuing the preparation of Finland’s digital compass based on feedback.

25.3.2021 | The Act on Strong Electronic Identification and Electronic Trust Services will be amended. The amendment will extend the maximum price regulation for the so-called chaining of electronic initial identification data by two years. For the next two years, the maximum price will remain the same as it is now, three cents.

1.9.2020 | In accordance with the Act on Strong Electronic Identification and Electronic Trust Services, the Ministry of Transport and Communications would continue to regulate the maximum price for forwarding initial identification data.

30.9.2020 | Amendments to the Act on Strong Electronic Identification and Electronic Signatures have been sent out for comments. It is proposed that the regulation on the maximum price for the so-called chaining of initial identification data be continued by a fixed period of two years.The current regulation remains in force for two years. In future, the maximum price for the initial identification would be three cents.
