They complement the national implementation of the Directive on the resilience of critical entities (CER) and the Directive on measures for a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union (NIS 2). 21.11.2025 | The European Commission has selected communications projects to receive funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). In the fourth round of calls for proposals under the CEF Digital programme, five projects coordinated by Finnish operators received a total of around EUR 4.67 million in funding. 27.11.2025 | On 27 November 2025, the Government proposed approval of a fixed-term act on scrapping premiums for passenger cars. The act will enter into force on 1 January 2026. 12.6.2025 | On 12 June 2025, the Government submitted a proposal to Parliament to amend the Act on Transport Services. The proposal would grant municipalities, joint municipal and other regional authorities the possibility to arrange passenger train services in their regions.
