  3. The Ministry of Transport and Communications is requesting views on the draft government proposal that would implement the EU's new legislative provisions concerning cross-border cooperation related to traffic offences. At the same time, regulation concerning the European Parking Card for persons with disabilities would be implemented nationally. Responses may be submitted until 28 August 2026.

  6. On 25 June 2026, the Government adopted a national programme on distribution infrastructure for alternative transport fuels. The programme, originally published in 2024, has been updated in line with recommendations from the European Commission. No changes have been made to its core content.

  7. 2.4.2024 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the national adoption of convention amendments adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).   11. 29.11.2023 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications has amended the Decree on Penalty Fares in Public Transport. The amendment to increase the penalty fare from EUR 80 to EUR 100 in public transport provided by Helsinki Region Transport will enter into force on 1 January 2024.
