    5.11.2020 | Environmental legislation concerning maritime transport is being reformed. The aim is to improve the reception and treatment of waste in ports, which will reduce the generation of marine litter and discharge of plastics into the seas. The process also includes updating the Act on Environmental Protection in Maritime Transport and the regulation concerning vessel safety. The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the draft legislative proposal by 17 December 2020.

    14.3.2019 | The Government proposed on 14 March 2019 that the amendment to the Act on Vehicle Inspections be adopted. In future, the licences for conducting inspections will be operator-specific and one licence will authorise to carry out all types of inspections for all vehicle categories. At the same time, the operator's obligation to carry out all types of inspections referred to in the licence will be abolished.
