  1. Finnish operators apply for more than EUR 73 million of EU funding for transport projects - Ministry of Transport and Communications

    19.12.2024 | Finland’s Central Government and other operators are applying for a total of approximately EUR 73.36 million in financial support for 11 transport projects from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport. In addition, EU funding is being sought for the acquisition of a new icebreaker. The Ministerial Finance Committee decided in favour of the applications on 19 December 2024.

  4. Government grants 5G network licences to telecom operators – construction works can start in July - Ministry of Transport and Communications

    17.6.2020 | On 17 June 2020, the Government granted network licences for the 26 GHz spectrum to Elisa Corporation, DNA Plc and Telia Finland Plc, in accordance with the outcome of a spectrum auction. The frequencies are available to the telecom operators for the construction of high-speed wireless 5G networks from the beginning of July.
