  11. 19.12.2024 | Finland’s Central Government and other operators are applying for a total of approximately EUR 73.36 million in financial support for 11 transport projects from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport.   12. 21.11.2024 | On 21 November 2024, the Government submitted to Parliament its proposal to amend the budget proposal for 2025. The Government proposes funding for the Digirail project, which involves the modernisation of Finland's rail traffic control system, and several rail, urban tramline and road projects. The Government also proposes EUR 400 million for the construction of West Railway, subject to certain conditions.

  16. 8.3.2024 | Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne will visit the Nordic Response 24 defence exercise in Lapland on 10–11 March 2024. This is the first time that Finland’s Minister of Transport and Communications will be present in an international military exercise. During her visit, Minister Ranne will learn about the activities of the Defence Forces and the Air Force, Nordic cooperation between the authorities and NATO-Nordic defence cooperation from the infrastructure perspective.
