15.11.2021 | The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications organised a round table on 15 November 2021 to hear the views of various interest groups on distribution channels for alternative fuels in road transport and on hydrogen as a power source. The demands of the EU regulations currently in preparation for refuelling/recharging infrastructure were also discussed in detail. This infrastructure plays a crucial role in efforts to mainstream low-emission alternative fuels.

16.12.2021 | The Finnish Government and other operators are applying for a total of EUR 185 million in financial support for 22 transport projects from the EU's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Half of these are the Government's projects, and half are projects of other operators. The Ministerial Finance Committee approved the applications on 16 December 2021.

According to the comments, digitalisation would increase the transparency, equality and flexibility in society. In order to achieve this, cooperation is needed among the operators involved.

The Decree will enter into force on 1 January 2019. Finland supports the digital strategy, vision and objectives that the Commission has proposed for European society, companies and citizens.

14.7.2021 | On Wednesday, the European Commission unveiled a major package of legislative proposals on climate that would reduce the EU’s net emissions by at least 55 per cent by 2030. The Fit for 55 package contains 13 legislative proposals, eight of which would strengthen existing legislative instruments and five that are completely new regulations.
