    11.7.2011 | International Maritime Organization IMO's Marine Environment Protection Committee will meet in London between the 11th and 15th of July. The meeting agenda will include, among other things, marine energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions by maritime transport and emissions from cruise ships in the Baltic Sea. The meeting delegation includes representatives of the authorities and the business sector.

    22.12.2009 | Mr Juhani Tervala has been appointed Director-General at the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency with effect from 1 January 2010. The Government of Finland announced the appointment on 22 December 2009. Appointment to the post of Director-General is for a period of five years ending on 31 December 2014.

    7.10.2009 | Finland wants to ensure that its legislation poses no difficulties for the development of Cognitive Radio and thus efficient use of spectrum. The Finnish legislation concerning radio spectrum will be amended accordingly during this autumn. Testing in Cognitive Radio is meant to be started in the beginning of next year.
