The aim is to ensure the availability of high-quality broadband connections in the future and to strengthen Finland's position as a leader in communications connections.

28.10.2019 | The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) takes place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt as of 28 October. The conference decides on the future use of radio spectrum. The WRC aims at facilitating rational use of radio spectrum and providing a suitable environment for future services. Finland participates in the decision-making to shape future communications services at a global scale.

15.6.2020 | ICT can deliver substantial environmental benefits by replacing products with services, through telecommuting, and in streamlining manufacturing processes. On the other hand, communication networks, data centres and smart devices require electric power and materials, and are also a source of greenhouse gas emissions. The recently published report of a Ministry of Transport and Communications working group describes the environmental and climate impacts of the ICT sector in Finland.
